Prehistoric Peanut Butter

(unfortunately when I was rinsing out the jar to prepare to take a picture, some of the date stamp rubbed off, which kinda wrecks the whole thing, but I'm going with it anyway.)

The expiration date on this jar is (was) Feb 15 10 BC

Surprisingly, it tasted just fine.

I don't want to hear anything about splinters!

It gets the job done.

I got it at a card/gift shop, but you can find 'em here.

Opportunistic Crafters

Now I'm not one of those people out there that is freaking out about this pig flu thing (it's not new!). However, I do think that it's amusing how many Etsy sellers have jumped on the Swine Flu bandwagon, and are now offering handmade wares relating to it. Some of these I think are kinda funny (if not in poor taste). Seriously, this card made me chuckle. On the other hand, some are opportunistically tagged snake oil, and some are just lame. Here they all are (only two pages so far), for you to sift through and judge at your leisure:

Drama (and humor) on the fora

I love Etsy for many reasons. One of the more trivial ones is for the forums. Sometimes they are helpful, but often they are bitchy, bizarre, and at least mildly amusing. Here are some of my favorite 'too hot for Etsy' threads from the Closed Threads Blog that capture the magic and bottle it for our amusement.
